COVID-19 INITIATIVE
As the world becomes gripped by the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19, young people are presented with a unique opportunity to express and hone in their leadership skills in advancing the health and safety of their communities. The SEYTUUN Youth Leadership Program provides young people a pathway to step up and be counted upon.
This SEYTUUN initiative is an Edmonton-based collaboration with local food banks and shelters to financially aid their efforts to facilitate the heightened demands for their services. SEYTUUN contributions include donation drives for supplies such as non-perishable food items, clothing, as well raising fund-raising.
Streams of Support
1 A donation page was set up, and people were able to directly donate throughout the summer to the four Edmonton-based charities we partnered with. These charities include The Mustard Seed, Bissell Center, Boyle Street Community Services and Edmonton’s Foodbank.
2Two Food Drives were hosted in August, and the food was donated directly to Edmonton’s Food Bank.
3A Bottle Drive was hosted in August, and all money raised was donated to the shelters and food banks.
